Chile SUBTEL Announces New SAR Testing Exemption
The Undersecretariat of Telecommunications (SUBTEL) has introduced power-based SAR exemptions for wearable devices.
SUBTEL has clarified its position on SAR testing for ultra-low-power radio equipment. Devices operating under a specified EIRP threshold and intended for wearable use may now be exempt from SAR testing, provided a technical justification is submitted by a registered agent.
